Dulux Trade Diamond Matt is a tough and washable water-based emulsion offering a smooth, uniform matt finish. Providing ultimate durability, it has been formulated with a unique Stain Repellent Technology that prevents stains from penetrating the surface which makes cleaning easy, and offers a finish that withstands daily wear and tear and will look better for longer. It is also highly scrubbable making it ideal for busy areas or spaces needing easy maintenance. The 99.9% VOC Free formula ensures a healthier environment without compromising on performance.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Dulux tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Preparation

Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and correctly prepared (new surfaces particularly must be fully dry)

Remove all loose and defective paint. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Where necessary, wash the surface to remove dirt, grease and powdery or dusty residues. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry.

Seal surfaces that remain powdery after thorough preparation with an appropriate plaster sealer.

Where necessary, rub down and then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth to avoid dust.

Any surface defects should be filled with the appropriate Polycell Trade Polyfilla.

Application

To get the best results, ensure the surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, and dry. It is recommended to test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure compatibility and that you are happy with the finished results.

Stir thoroughly before use.

New or bare surfaces should be prepared with an appropriate Dulux Trade product. We recommend Drywall Primer Sealer or a thinned first coat of Vinyl Matt or Diamond Matt.

The normal finishing process is 2 coats of Dulux Trade Diamond Matt, however for significant colour change additional coats may be required. For best colour consistency, purchase sufficient tinted paint for each job at one time from the same source. To ensure colour consistency, it is recommended to blend tins before use.

Airless Spray: For best results use a 515 Low Pressure tip or 517 Low pressure tip with an operating pressure of 1300 – 1700 psi. (89-117 bar). Alternatively, use a 517 tip with an operating pressure of 2000 – 2400 psi (138-165 bar). Please note that the above recommendations are intended as a guideline only and some adjustments may need to be made to accommodate equipment type & age, substrate type and individual site & atmospheric conditions.
